DHL-Sinotrans inaugurates Country Quality Control Centre
DHL-Sinotrans, the leading express company in China, has announced the inauguration of its Country Quality Control Centre (QCC) in Beijing. The Country QCC is the first of its kind in China, and will provide customers with world-class services through its dynamic shipment movement management. This pioneer quality control centre in China will also add to the sophistication and efficiency of the system control capabilities of DHL's leading air express network.
The Country QCC is located in Beijing's Tianzhu Airport Industrial Zone, adjacent to DHL-Sinotrans North Area Gateway. By utilising state-of-the-art equipment and IT technology, it serves as the nerve centre for DHL-Sinotrans by allowing real-time 24/7 monitoring of all flight information and shipment movement data, from the time that the shipment is picked up from the customer's home or office to the final delivery. The Country QCC also enables quick and efficient response to any possible emergency, and provides more reliable security for the entire DHL air express operation network.
In 2004, DHL opened its Asia Pacific Quality Control Centre (APQCC) in Singapore. The China Country QCC is DHL's eleventh such facility in Asia Pacific, and it will connect seamlessly with the APQCC and its regional counterparts to increase transparency, flexibility and shipment efficiency for customers.
"The establishment of the Country QCC represents an overall increase of DHL-Sinotrans' services capabilities, and lends a strong impetus to the growth of the express industry. As the market leader, we hope to push for broader and better express services through our leading service philosophy and cutting-edge technology for our customers in China," said Wu Dongming, Managing Director of DHL-Sinotrans.
Since it was established in 1986, DHL-Sinotrans, with a 40 per cent market share, has developed the largest air express services network in China; covering 318 cities, with branches in 56 major cities. DHL-Sinotrans has maintained 35 to 45 per cent annual growth in recent years, with growth hitting 50 to 60 per cent in 2004.
