Instruction of Remote Area Service
We at DHL Express are committed to providing our customers with the best delivery network, which is why we are continuing to offer coverage to more parts of the world than any other company. However, due to the high degree of inaccessibility of some areas, additional costs are incurred.
Effective 01 May 2009, DHL Express will introduce an adjustment to the current Remote Area Service charge. The revised charge will be RMB 3.0 per kg with a minimum of RMB150.00 per shipment (whichever is higher). This will apply to shipments picked up from or sent to remote areas, in DHL Express'network, for DHL International shipments.Shipments to or from remote areas within China will not be subject to these charges.
Rest assured that our charges remain fair and reasonable - they are lower than those of our major competitors. With DHL’s vast network and infrastructure, it is also good to know that less than 2% of our shipments are currently delivered to remote locations.
